Children's Memorial Park

The loss of a child is traumatizing for a parent...no matter what age the child was...no matter how they die. In fact, "traumatizing" is not near a strong enough word to describe the pain and suffering left behind. The death of a child doesn't just affect the parents. Siblings, school friends, other family members and friends are all left feeling a horrible sense of loss. The grief is indescribable.

In times of healing, parents often need a quiet place of solace to nurture their sense of loss, and to remember the life of their child. Perhaps even to honor their memory. The Angel of Hope gives parents, families and friends a place to:

  • remember, honor and share their child who was taken too soon,
  • open their hearts to all treasured memories that are so important to everyone,
  • know their child will never be forgotten, always loved and remembered in a place where this common bond connects us regardless of age, race, nationality, religion, social and economic status, and
  • see their name and share them with all those who seek the angel out- A place of HOPE.

Donations to the establishment of the Children's Memorial Park can be made payable to the City of Virginia (note "Children's Memorial Park" in the memo line)- your gift is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please mail donations to: City of Virginia, 327 South 1st Street, Virginia, MN 55792.
