FEMA INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE

Call: (800) 621-3362 | 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS)
FEMA has also sent inspectors to the area to assist with going door to door to help people get the initial application in for assistance. They started in Virginia on Saturday and are continuing throughout town. They will be working their way around to heavily impacted areas to help expedite the application process. All FEMA staff will have badges for identification and are there to provide assistance in getting the application completed for FEMA assistance. FEMA will be asking very minimal questions and then sending an ‘inspector’ to verify loss and damage – a process that we are told takes less than 15 minutes.
Note - you do not need to wait for FEMA to apply for assistance! CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE FEMA HANDOUT with directions on how to apply.
