The City of Virginia Planning and Zoning Commission shall continue the public hearing scheduled forMonday July 1, 2019 to MONDAY, JULY 8, 2019 at 4:30 PM. This meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor of City Hall, 327 South 1st Street, Virginia, Minnesota. The Commission shall consider the following variance requests:
MARQUETTE CATHOLIC SCHOOL, 311 3RD STREET SOUTH, VIRGINIA.
1.) A 1 foot height variance to the maximum 3 foot height allowed in a front yard in order to construct a new fence 4 feet in height across the South ( 3rd Street South ) property line.
MICHAEL JUE, 1803 WOLF ROAD, VIRGINIA
1.) A 20 foot variance from the required 20 foot setback in order to construct a new attached garage 0 feet from the front yard (Wolf Road) property line.
MIKE PENNALA, 129 11TH STREET SOUTH, VIRGINIA
1.) A 2.3 foot variance to the required 5 foot side yard setback in order to build a new 16X16 foot porch 2.7 feet from the East property line.
2.) A variance to build a second accessory structure.
3.) A 404 square foot variance to the maximum 1,000 square feet in order to have 1404 square feet of accessory structure.
4.) A 720 square feet variance to the maximum 30% rear yard coverage to build a 2nd accessory structure garage 1024 square feet.
VICTOR ROETHLER, 710 11TH STREET SOUTH, VIRGINIA
1.) A 5.3 foot variance to the required 8 foot side yard setback in order to construct a new deck 2.7 feet from the West property line.
Any and all persons who have questions or concerns about this meeting are encouraged to attend. It is the policy of the Virginia Planning and Zoning Commission to limit public appearances to ten minutes for the main spokesperson on an issue, and to five minutes for support and follow-up comments.
Recommendations from this Public Hearing will be forwarded to the City Council for consideration at their meeting at 530 p.m. on July 9, 2019.
