Training and Resources
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health)
NAMI now offers Basics OnDemand which is a free, six-session online education program for parents, caregivers and other family who provide care for youth aged 22 or younger who are experiencing mental health symptoms. Along with the training NAMI released some tips to help us during the periods between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day where we often see an increase in stress, anxiety and depression. Crisis Text Line has a vision to rally 2,020 people to apply to be a Crisis Counselor before 2020! Pledge to give time this holiday season and apply to become a Crisis Counselor. If you apply by December 31st, you’ll start 2020 with our 30-ish hour training and you’ll be helping people in crisis right away!
